Firefox only, until resolved. First click on “Init GMap”

  1. Press “Init Gmap”
  2. Select region by mouse while holding shift key
  3. Zoom region using GMAP controls
  4. Press “Load big map” and wait until loaded
  5. Press “Convert to Canvas”
  6. Right click on Big Map and click “Save As”

  1. Firefox will crash if you try to save a very large region at 18 or 20 zoom. However, there is a workaround that I have been playing with to some success. It involves creating the canvas and saving the entire web page. It will give you a lot of tiles that you can stitch together.

  2. I tried it today, but it does not work; “This page can’t load Google Maps correctly.” error.
When I go to full screen, I see the map (but dark grey, with “For development purposes only” watermarks.
    I am using Firefox 67.0.4 (64-bit) on Windows 10 Pro (64-bit).
